Laughter for a Change needs your help! We are vying for a chance to win a EPIP + Creatively Moving LA Forward fundraiser, and all we need is YOUR VOTE on this website: http://EPIPLAVIVALAART.maker.good.is/projects/L4Claughter?sort=popular
GOODmaker is hosting the competition, which decides which organization will win the fundraiser based on popular vote. They take your e-mail address in order to make a vote but if you click the box saying so, you won't receive any spam or newsletters after your initial vote. It takes less than a minute, promise! I've been affiliated with the non-profit organization LAUGHTER FOR A CHANGE since 2009, and first wrote about my experience as a student with them in this blog post. Since then, I've joined L4C as a Comedy Mentor, helping teach improv at RFK Community Schools, as well as helping to grow the org through all sorts of administrative support [read my alumni magazine interview on my work with L4C on my Press Page]. We are a small organization affecting change in a very simple, low-cost way, and winning this fundraiser would help us significantly! As anyone who has ever tried out improv comedy (or been subject to my game-playing over beers or in the lobby at eastwest studios) knows, the very simple rule of always saying "Yes, and..." can lead to lots of fun and laughter. We at L4C take that tenant further, employing 'Yes, And' as a therapy and mode of authentic connection and communication amidst communities who are in need of a good laugh. It's simple and effective - we even have Testimonials to prove it! Please watch the PSA above to learn more about L4C + place your vote here before Thursday, July 19th! www.laughterforachange.org
